What makes Antbear Eco Lodge pet friendly

Antbear Eco Lodge is known as one of the best pet-friendly places in the Drakensberg and Natal Midlands. Your pet stays free. Beautiful, vast views of the Drakensberg with plenty of ground for your dogs to roam with you. Walk for hours. Your dogs will be happy with lots of dams to swim in and horses to discover. Four of the accommodation units at Antbear Eco Lodge are fenced in so its really easy to leave your dog behind if you would like to explore some of the sights where pets are not that welcome. We dont have a policy that requires your pet to be on a lead (yet upon arrival it is advisable to keep the dog on a lead ) as long as you know your dog wont chase our sheep, chickens, turkeys, ducks, cats, horses, donkeys and cows, 2 pigs We have a dog of our own too. Please bring your own dog food, bowls and bedding.

We LOVED Antbear because of the beautiful setting, the unique personality of the rooms/furnishings, the easy walks around the property, the great team led by Andile, the delicious food, and the access to the Midlands Meander and the activities in the Northern Drakensberg region. We were particularly grateful that they welcomed our dog, even finding a good, safe place for him to stay while we ventured out.

Staff are welcoming and make you feel at home right from the first minute. Surrounded by amazing views of the Drakensberg mountains, the unit is perfect, equipped with mini fridge, fireplace and woodwork furniture made on site. The pet friendly unit was securely fenced and our dogs were also happy. Fresh creative menu which utilizes fresh produce grown on the premises.

Enclosed pet friendly units available. We stayed over for one night on our way to the coast. Delicious food, luxury accommodation, and very accommodating staff. Excellent lodge with warm and friendly people, would definitely visit again.
